Life on the RoadCape Le Grand National Park, Esperance, WA, 2014 | Waves ISomething about the waves is highly relatable to us. When we are happy, they reflect hope and the promises of the future; when we are sad, they echo an even deeper sadness and relentless melancholy. They speak to us about longing, hopelessness, and the pettiness of our joy and pain in the face of the Universe.

City Beach, Western Australia 2013 | Waves IIWaves of consciousness rolling in and out, carrying with them passion and sadness, serenity and fear. Crashing loudly, spreading quietly, like the pulse and pause of a heart that beats. Rising and falling, coming and going. Watch the waves and you will see - the infinite cavalcade of life.

Waves IIIFurious waves hitting the shore with such energy, quickly spreading over it, one after another. Sensing the human scale once more, I shivered at the realisation of how little and vulnerable we are in the face of nature, yet I felt a strange surge of calmness at the thought of how little our pain and suffering is in the grander scheme of things.
I heard the ancient waves whisper, "Let me wash over you." And I replied, "Please. Please wash over me, reduce me into molecules, and take me with you." | Hellfire Bay, Esperance, Western Australia 2014 | Big waves at Hellfire Bay, Esperance, Western Australia 2014 |

A Lover's TouchThe feeling of warmth, security and a deep sense of belonging were things I could not help but feel when I looked at this sculpture. It captures perfectly the essence of vulnerability as a basic ingredient of any kind of love, and how falling apart, when done right, can make ruins feel like home. | Girl with Hand Covering MouthVigeland Sculpture Park, Oslo, Norway 2008 | Moments of Unmediated HonestyThick air and -

City Beach, Western Australia 2018 | Perth, Western Australia 2018There was something about this space that pulled me in. First, there was the Aboriginal art on the tree pot and bench, then the fact that it was seated right in front of a European brick building, then there was the whole metallic feel of the modern architecture, which was emphasised by the bollards and street lamp. Following my instinct, I pressed the shutter, then a car unexpectedly passed by and took its own picture, infusing a sense of life to this scene. | Perth, Western Australia 2018It is not everyday that you see a dolphin and an old cathedral side by side. Put right next to the Victorian building of St. George's Cathedral, this contemporary dolphin statue was evident of the time that this photograph was made. Together they create a fusion of the past and present, natural and manmade - two seemingly opposite entities coexisting in harmony. |

The ThinkerThe Thinker, Shirakawa-go, Japan, 2017
Who would expect to find Rodin’s “The Thinker” in a rural village in Japan? But there he was, sitting quietly at the back porch of a house amidst the falling snow, deep in thought, undisturbed... He did not call for attention, yet I saw him. I felt like I was entering a scene where I was not supposed to be in, for I would intrude a private space. But the scene moved me, so I braved myself to take a breath, made this picture, and left quietly. | The Break of Dawn (2013)5am | Preston Street BridgeComo, WA 2013 |
